GRD Airport Layout Plan Update

Greenwood County Airport (GRD) is a publicly owned facility with two active runways and multiple general and corporate aviation hangars. Aulick is providing aviation planning services for the Airport Layout Plan update, the scope of which encompasses four chapters of the Narrative Report.  

  1. Introduction – Airport overview and planning contex
  2. Inventory – Existing facilities review, including airport classification, level of service, property/easements, airfield facilities (runways, taxiways, aprons), terminal/FBO, hangars, fueling, lighting, navigation aids, airspace, land use, and modification of standards
  3. Forecasts – Socio-economic trends, forecast validation, based aircraft, critical aircraft, local/itinerant operations, activity type, and peak hour activity
  4. Facility Requirements – Design standards applicable to GRD based on approved forecasts, addressing runway length, pavement width, and strength requirements 

Upon completion, the Narrative Report will provide a data-driven foundation for future capital improvements and serve as the guiding development document for Greenwood County Airport.
