This project included a master plan update for the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport (ABY), with Aulick Engineering providing a runway strength (PCR) analysis and developing associated cost estimates. Establishing the appropriate fleet mix was a critical first step, shaped through close coordination with the client and a clear understanding of both existing operations and anticipated growth.
Aulick also developed planning-level cost estimates for both mid-term (10-year) and long-term (20-year) improvements. This effort included a comprehensive review of recent bid data to reflect current market conditions, along with consideration of national and state trends. Input from local contractors further strengthened the approach, allowing the team to account for potential market fluctuations and position the Airport for confident, long-range planning.
