RDU Runway 5L/23R Reconstruction

Aulick Engineering is supporting the replacement of Runway 5L-23R at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), a major airfield improvement project aimed at enhancing safety, capacity, and long-term operational performance. The project includes demolition of the existing runway, construction of a new Runway 5L-23R, and development of a new parallel taxiway system with associated connecting taxiways.
Aulick Engineering was responsible for the erosion and sediment control design, providing solutions that meet regulatory requirements while minimizing environmental impacts throughout construction. The team also supports overall project delivery through coordination with the client and design team, design oversight, and QA/QC review of project deliverables.
Aulick is also providing construction administration services for the construction phase of this project.
