S-393 (Round Tree Road) Bridge Replacement over Jones Creek, a Branch of Thicketty Creek

This project will replace the existing 30-foot bridge over Branch of Thicketty Creek that has been closed to traffic. The proposed design is a 55-foot single span bridge utilizing AASHTO Type I Modified prestressed concrete beams. This project meets the criteria to use the SCDOT Supplemental Design Criteria for Low Impact Bridge Replacement Projects Preconstruction Design Memorandum. The bridge will be built on existing horizontal alignment with minimal vertical profile adjustments. The travel lane and shoulder widths will be increased to 10-foot and 4-foot, respectively.
