The project generally consisted of removing and replacing multiple concrete slabs on the apron area where they are deteriorating from age. Project included demolition of existing slabs, constructing a stabilized base, placing new reinforced concrete slabs, joint sealing, and pavement marking. Aulick Engineering provided resident project representative services to ensure construction was performed in accordance with project construction plans and specifications. Aulick Engineering’s on-site resident project representative coordinated with the Owner and Engineer to determine which slabs were priorities for removal within the allowable budget. Role also required coordination with Contractor, Geotechnical Subconsultant, and Engineer to develop a cost effective solution that addressed wet subgrade.
