This Project generally consisted of the extension of Taxiway A and B to tie into the Runway 9 displaced threshold. The project included 1 acre of clearing and grubbing and approximately 9000 cubic yards of FAA P-152 fill material to construct Taxiway Alpha and Bravo extensions. The clearing and grubbing for this project required impacting a wetland area within the project limits and required special care to follow permit requirements during construction. The project also included the placement of GEOGRID to stabilize the subgrade below the new P-401 Bituminous Surface Course. This project also included the installation of stormwater management facilities, erosion control measures, and airfield light and signage. Aulick Engineering provided resident project representative services to ensure construction was performed in accordance with project construction plans and specifications. Aulick Engineering served as a liaison between the contractor and owner, performed all necessary paperwork, and coordinated with the contractor on scheduling and activities. In addition, this project required coordination with the tower for daytime work in and around the runway area and night work under runway closures.
