This Project at Habersham County Airport included the extension of Taxiway Alpha from the terminal building to the existing turnaround and full depth replacement of the Terminal Area Apron. The project included 17 acres of clearing and grubbing and 276,000 cubic yards of FAA P-152 fill material to construct Taxiway Alpha. The taxiway consisted of a pavement section of 4 inches of GDOT superpave asphalt on 10 inches of P209 base course. The project also included drainage, erosion control, lighting, signage, and marking of the taxiway. Habersham County also added an East Apron Tie Down area provide 25 more tie downs for the Airport. Aulick Engineering provided resident project representative services to ensure construction was performed in accordance with project construction plans and specifications. As part of these services, Aulick Engineering performed necessary paperwork to meet state and federal requirements, held regular construction meetings for the project, answered field related questions, and kept the Owner and Engineer up to date on field schedule and activities.
